EXEMPTIONS
Veterans Exemption - provides a property tax exemption up to the assessed value of $70,000 when the property is owned and used exclusively by a disabled veteran, spouse or unmarried surviving spouse as a home that is classified as Specially Adapted Housing in Title 38 USC, Chapter 21, Section 2101. The Veterans Exemption must be reestablished on an annual basis by certification from the Department of Veterans' Affairs to the Supervisor of Assessments Office.
