Welcome to the Downers Grove Township Assessor’s Office website. Much of the information contained in this site will answer questions you may have about the property assessment and tax system. In Illinois we have what is called a “mass appraisal” system. Assessments are generated using cost, sales and income analysis of property within the Township.

Other than assessing property we spend a measurable amount of time educating our citizens about the assessment process and how they can assist in a fair and equitable assessment of their own property.
