The 2009 assessed values are now available in our Parcel Search.
The parcel data and values were update on Monday, September 21st, 2009.
The assessments displayed are the 2009 Township Assessor values, which include the Supervisor of Assessments 2009 factor of 1.000. These assessments remain subject to Board of Review action and State equalization.
September 18, 2009, 4:29 pm
We apologize the equalized assessed values (EAV) are not available to display this year. You may want to call the County Clerk to obtain the information. The 2009 Supervisor of Assessment multiplier of 1.000 was applied to all parcels in Downers Grove Township. The 2008 EAV multiplied by 1.000 will be a reasonable estimate of the 2009 EAV in your district.

September 10, 2009, 2:58 pm
The Downers Grove Township 2009 publication of the Supervisor of Assessment factor of 1.000, along with the list of changed assessments will be in the following newspapers issues:
Downers Grove/Westmont Reporter – September 23, 2009
Hinsdale Doings and Weekly Doings – September 24, 2009
Clarendon Hills Doings – September 24, 2009
Suburban Life Newspapers – September 25, 2009
Changed assessments are those that have experienced changes to the property, i.e., new construction, demolition or a reassessment for uniformity or market value purposes. If the parcel number you are searching out is not on the list, most likely that parcel’s assessment has only received the Supervisor of Assessment factor of 1.000, meaning the assessment has not changed from the 2008 value.
Once published in the newspapers, you may refer to our Parcel Search for the 2009 assessed value of all parcel numbers beginning with 09 or 10.
After publication, a property owner has thirty days to file an appeal with the DuPage County Board of Review. The deadline for filing a appeal is October 26, 2009; mailed appeals must be post-marked on or before the deadline.
Appeal forms may be downloaded from the Supervisor of Assessments and Board of Review website.
Please be patient with us! There are over 57,000 parcels in Downers Grove Township. During this time we receive 100’s of phone calls and emails. It may take our office time respond to your inquiries due to our limited staff. Please know, however, we are more than willing to assist you and, if possible, resolve matters at the Township level to save you the time and expense of a formal hearing before the Board of Review.

The Downers Grove Township announces in a Press Release on Monday, August 31st, 2009 the new Township websites and what they have to offer the public. See the Press Release on Triblocal.com.
Delivering on our promise of transparency.
Today, the Downers Grove Township Government Offices announce their new, resident driven websites. The websites www.dgtownship.com, www.dgtao.com and www.dgthwy.com allow residents more access to the individual offices and case workers, as well as a simplified navigation. These changes reflect a renewed focus on a community driven government and deliver on the promise of transparency made by the Township Board.
“This spring, the new board assured residents they would focus on delivering an efficient and cost effective government to everyone,” said Township Supervisor Frank Wurster. “Our staff and board has worked diligently over the last few months to increase services while reducing costs.”
The improved websites allow residents a faster and simpler means to contact all eight elected officials and staff members. Downers Grove Township encourages everyone to visit the sites and learn more about our programs and services.
“Hopefully township residents will visit the sites and share their thoughts and concerns with us,” said Wurster. “This is an opportunity to work together and improve our offices.”
